Your personal information is collected via a number of channels at Christchurch Carpets.  These include general enquiries, quotations and purchases.

 

Outlined below is a breakdown of the information we collect.

 

General Enquiries:

 

When making a general enquiry, whether this is via email, telephone, social media platform or in store, we ask for your name, telephone and/or mobile phone number and email.  We will keep your information for one (1) year whilst we are following up your enquiry. We do not share this data with any third parties.

Quotations:

 

When booking a quotation with us we ask for your name, address of the property the quotation is taken place at, telephone and/or mobile phone number and email. After the quotation, our flooring specialist will draw up a flooring plan, which is kept for ten (10) years and is not shared with any third parties.

Purchases:

 

When you purchase a non-fitted flooring option, for example, an area rug or doormat, we ask for your name, payment method and telephone and/or mobile phone number.  If purchasing a fitted flooring option, such as vinyl flooring or fitted carpet, we ask for your name, the address of the property, where the product is being installed (if applicable), telephone/mobile phone number, payment method and email. Please note we do not keep any payment details, even if calling over the telephone. We will keep your information for ten (10) years and do not share this information with any third parties.

 

 

 

Why We Collect Your Information

The information we collect is to either provide you with your requested service or to complete your order.  We also collect information for those applying for employment. Once a position has been filled all remaining resumes remain on record for one (1) year and then destroyed.

If requesting a quote or purchasing a product with Christchurch Carpets, we will need to share your information with our contracted carpet fitters.  This information is shared via a manifest document. The manifest includes the following information:
